Margie McMahon

I am a printmaker and birder based in Chicago, IL and am inspired by Midwest nature specifically the birds of the Midwest. My printmaking professor in college opened my eyes to the joys of bird watching which inspired me to focus on drawing all of the species of birds located in the Midwest and to then screen print them to share with others. You can often find me bird watching at my local forest preserves and photographing birds to later use as inspiration for drawing. My favorite bird, at least right now, is probably a Northern Shoveler.
